Hi, I’m Sanuri Sineka Jayathilaka, an artist on a mission to spread joy and serenity through every piece I create. My art is a celebration of positive energy, designed to uplift your spirit and bring a smile to your face. Here, you’ll find a diverse collection—primarily abstract works, alongside my unique doodles, watercolours, and mixed media creations—each infused with happiness.
My journey into art has been anything but straightforward. A few years ago, I was working as a software engineer, building websites and solving technical puzzles. While I appreciated the challenge, I often felt an emptiness I couldn’t quite explain. Crafting code didn’t fulfil me the way I had hoped. It wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic gave me the time to reflect that I rediscovered something I had set aside since I was 16—my passion for drawing.
Reconnecting with art was transformative. Though the path has had its setbacks and moments of self-doubt, each day I create, I feel a spark that lights up my soul. Art became my way of soothing my spirit, and I wanted to share that joy with you, hoping to uplift your soul as well.
This journey has taught me the importance of nurturing my own happiness. If I’m not fulfilled, I can’t create pieces that resonate with others. While my time in the tech world had its rewards, art is where I’ve found my true calling. Embracing creativity has brought me back to life, reconnecting me with the passion I cherished in childhood.
As I continue to explore new techniques and styles, I embrace the freedom to express myself in many forms. Each piece is an invitation to experience the joy and positivity art can bring. I hope my creations inspire you as much as they inspire me.
