Artworks must be entered into the correct category during the submission/entry process.
Acceptance is entirely at the discretion of the Organisers and subject to the available space.
Number of Works
The Artist may submit three (3) works for consideration for acceptance into the Clare Art Show, each submission attracting a Registration/ Entry fee (non-refundable) as shown under the Fees and Commissions Section. The Organisers, whose decision is final, will accept up to three (3) works from any one artist. An Acceptance/Hanging fee is payable on works accepted for the exhibition for adults entering the art show. Youth and juniors are not charged an Acceptance/Hanging fee as all entries will be accepted from Youth and Juniors.
Size of Paintings and Sculptures
Submitted paintings must not exceed 1.0 square metres or 1.5 metres on any one side of the painting (including framing, if any). Any paintings which exceed this size will need to be entered as an over-sized artwork which attracts a higher Acceptance/Hanging fee.
Submitted sculptures must not exceed 80kg in weight and 1.2 cubic metres in volume. Submission may be available on pre-approval from the Show organisers.
Hanging works must be soundly framed, dry and ready for hanging with a taut crosswire one-third from the top.
Multi panel pieces are accepted as one work but overall must not exceed the size limits as a whole.
All works must be clearly labelled on the back or underside with the artist’s name, title of work and the catalogue price clearly discernible.
Works submitted by a Judge, guest or invited artist will not be eligible for competition. Such works will be for exhibition and sale only.
Individual artists may at the discretion of the Organisers be invited to supply more than the maximum number of works.
